Didi Hirsch hosts a variety of high-quality training programs for students pursuing advanced degrees in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, professional counseling, psychiatry, and other allied professions. Our programs continually grow in response to best practices and the needs of our clients. We foster an environment of inclusivity, respect, acceptance, and empowerment for clients and trainees alike, and are proud to play a role in deepening the ranks of skilled mental health professionals capable of providing excellent care to diverse, underserved communities.
Doctoral Internship Training Program
Accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1956, Didi Hirsch’s Doctoral Internship Training Program is one of the oldest accredited programs in the nation. This full-time, year-long internship experience provides broad training in the professional practice of psychology within the context of a large community mental health center setting.

Master’s Level Training Program
Didi Hirsch’s Masters Level Student Training Program provides MFT, MSW and PCC students with in-depth, comprehensive training in the provision of clinical services within the context of a large community mental health agency. Master’s Level students work part-time in either our Adult or Child/Family programs. In some training years, placement opportunities may also be available in our crisis residential programs and our Suicide Prevention Center.

Psychology Practicum Training Program
Didi Hirsch’s Psychology Practicum Program provides advanced clinical psychology graduate students with in-depth, comprehensive training in the provision of evidence-based clinical services within the context of a large community mental health center setting. Practicum students work part-time in either our Adult or Child/Family programs.

Physician Assistant Training Program
Through a partnership with University of Southern California’s Primary Care Physician Assistant Program, Didi Hirsch’s three-day training experience prepares PA students to care for patients in psychiatric and behavioral health settings. Students join our psychiatry providers on rotations and spend time at our Suicide Prevention Center.
