Our Suicide Prevention Center is a renowned resource around the nation and world for anyone who has thought about, attempted or lost someone to suicide.
Suicide Prevention
Founded in 1958, our Suicide Prevention Center is the nation’s first and the only one that provides comprehensive services to people affected by suicide. We offer several types of suicide prevention trainings, provide therapy and support groups for those who have attempted or are bereaved by suicide and are a key member of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline network. Services include:

Mental Health
We provide a full range of evidence-based mental health services to children and adults in communities where poverty or stigma limits access. Qualified children, teens and adults can get treatment and other support at our clinics, in their homes or community centers, at their schools and in our residential treatment centers. When they are off-site, our psychiatrists use tele-psychiatry to assess and treat clients in a crisis. Mental health services include:

Substance Use
We provide individual, family and group outpatient services to adolescents and adults struggling with drug, alcohol and other substance use issues. We have a unique mother/child residential program that allows women to live with their young children while recovering from substance use issues. We also offer substance use services as part of the City of Los Angeles’ Project 50 team. Services include:

Enhanced Care Management
A whole-person approach to care that addresses the clinical and non-clinical circumstances of high-need members enrolled in a Medi-Cal managed health care plan.
